The Imagerie d’Épinal
Founded in 1796, the Imagerie d’Épinal is one of the last artisan print workshops in Europe. Hand presses and stencil colouring still produce the famous Épinal images. The visit is a timeless moment, punctuated by demonstrations and ink smells. A date here promises an original morning, followed by a coffee in the nearby lanes.
Saint-Maurice Basilica and Place des Vosges
The Saint-Maurice Basilica, half Romanesque and half Gothic, watches over Place des Vosges, the commercial heart of the old town. The old arcaded houses, terraces and market set a lively scene. A late-afternoon walk along the Cours and then towards the departmental museum of ancient and contemporary art naturally links culture and shared moments.
Château Park and Moselle banks
The Château Park, on the heights, mingles medieval ruins and forest paths with a small animal park. In the centre, the Moselle quays are followed on foot or by bike as far as the Grands Moulins canal. On Lyad, locals share their favourite walks; it is up to you to find someone to enjoy them and extend the conversation.
